SaaS ERP is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning
software that runs on the cloud of the providers servers. It is sold as a
subscription and the service is delivered over the internet. Enterprise systems
have integrated software modules and a central database. These components allow
the data that is inputted on the system to be shared by and with the different
business processes and areas within a business. This makes it easier for the
functions of the business to share and keep track of data.
Some business functions within an organisation that would use SaaS ERP systems are:
- Customer Relationship Management.
- Inventory Management
- Human Resource Management
- Finance and Accounting💸
ERP Systems have many benefits for businesses in general such
as it can increase efficiency and help support decision making. For SMEs there are
several advantages of using Saas ERP systems. Some of these advantages include:
· Improved accessibility – allows SMEs to access information from anywhere at any time. Improved access means improved productivity for the business.
· Lower expenditure – Business can pay only for what they need which can reduce expenses on other software which allows them to be competitive which other larger businesses.💰
· Reduce the burden on the IT teams – IT teams won’t have to look after the system as the provider will which means they can focus on internal tasks.
